VARINDER SINGH JOHAL, B.A., J.D.

Varinder joined Grandview Law Group LLP as an articled student in December 2019.  Before joining the firm, Varinder obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia. In 2019, he received his Juris Doctor from Bond University, where he graduated with First Class Honours. 

Prior to law school, Varinder worked as an outreach worker for the Surrey School District, where he worked with at risk youth and their families, focusing on gang prevention and intervention.  

Varinder’s past work experience has allowed him to work closely with families of different cultures, sizes, and socioeconomic backgrounds. He applies his past experiences to his practice and takes an adaptable approach to help clients to move forward with their lives.  

Varinder makes it a priority to provide cost effective legal services and makes every effort to negotiate solutions without having to resort to costly litigation. However, Varinder appreciates that some family conflicts will inevitably result in litigation, and when this occurs, he works diligently for his clients. Varinder has appeared at both the BC Supreme Court and Provincial Court level.  

In his spare time, Varinder enjoys playing basketball and golf, as well as spending time with his family and friends. As well, he continues to work with youth and remains active in the community as a youth basketball coach.
